Message from the Mayor

As Çeşme’s first female mayor, I am thrilled to announce the 1st International Çeşme Women Leaders Summit. Taking place on October 23-24, 2025, this summit coincides with the 102nd anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, a landmark in empowering women, and will serve as a global platform for women leaders to share and unite beyond borders, inspired by its universal vision.

Our summit aims to bring together women leaders from arts, politics, economy, science, technology, and sports to share experiences, develop equality policies, and build solidarity networks. Themed “Women’s Visibility,” it will feature inspiring panels, workshops, and networking events. The summit will conclude with the Çeşme Declaration, amplifying global demands for women’s rights, and your contributions will be vital in shaping this vision.

In Çeşme, we empower women’s cooperatives, support economic independence with a handmade goods market, raise awareness for early cancer detection with screenings, create free time for mothers with Yuvamız Çeşme, and enhance women’s lives through numerous projects. This summit aims to elevate our local efforts to a global stage, draw inspiration from our global sisterhood, and empower each other and all women who hear our call.
